I’ve been driving the SF Bay Area freeways for many years. \u00a0So many times I have seen Peregrine Falcons perched on freeway lights, power polls,.. \u00a0Lots of times. \u00a0But they have always been alone. \u00a0Never have I seen two together.<\/p>\n

Today, on the way home from work, I saw what might have been the sight of my lifetime: Two Peregrine Falcons, sitting on a light fixture, just west of the Dumbarton Bridge Toll Plaza. \u00a0One was brown:<\/p>\n

and one was blue [ at least in the moments I could see it, it looked blue ] :<\/p>\n

I’m assuming they were a mating pair. \u00a0The brown bird was larger. \u00a0I was thinking that the female is colored brown and the male colorful, but wikipedia says they have the same coloring. \u00a0The female is larger. \u00a0The Peregrine Falcon mates for life.<\/em><\/p>\n

Just another romantic Friday afternoon in the Bay Area.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
